2021
Good news - we will be allowed to open on the 26th April - note it is still unclear whether visitors will be restricted to all of Scotland, or the whole of the uk at that time. We will clarify as soon as we can.
If you already have a booking between now and the 26th April please contact us to re-arrange your dates.
We are taking bookings for 2021, if you would like to stay please book online. Any deposits taken for a holiday which has to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 measures will be held for a future visit.
Our COVID-19 safety measures will remain in place until the Scottish Government advises us that they can be lifted.
Our safety measures:
We cleaning the facilities that are open in accordance with government instructions. Please use your private facilities if possible.
The following facilities will NOT be available: Basecamp, fridges, drying cupboard, outside cooking shelter.
The washrooms will be open but as 2 unisex blocks, only one social group may use either block at a time. Each block will have toilets and showers, however the hair dryers will not be in use. If you do not have your own facilities we recommend bringing a portapotty in case of urgent need. This can be emptied in the chemical disposal point.
The following facilities are available: chemical disposal, hook-ups, bins, water, laundry.
Important points:
- Book your ferry ticket first. The Arran ferries have reduced capacity this year due to social distancing
- Social distancing (minimum 2m) on the campsite is essential at all times, please be very respectful of other guest's personal space
- A face covering or mask must be worn when booking in at reception, when talking to our staff and when using the laundry
- When you first arrive we will check you in using a safe payment screen. Bank card payments preferred, only one person in reception at any one time
- Handwashing facilities will be available. Please use them every time you have touched gates, door handles, light switches, taps, hook up points, outdoor tables and bins
If you develop signs of coronavirus you must self-isolate, seek a test, and if positive follow the instuctions for isolation.

A Quiet Site
The campsite in brief:
Tents, caravans and motor-homes welcome for holidays and short breaks.
Four camping pods for hire.
Lochranza Campsite is owned and managed by staff who are active campers and caravanners.
As you enter the campsite you will find yourself in a bowl-shaped area of flat ground surrounded by steep hillsides where red deer graze and golden eagles fly and where mountain burns tumble down to the sea.
The campsite has level grass pitches. Hardstandings and electric hook ups are available. Our facilities include hot showers with hairdryers, clean toilets and wash basins. We also have dishwashing sinks, an outdoor cooking shelter and a chemical toilet disposal point. In the reception block there is an information room and a laundry as well as a shower room and toilet for those with restricted mobility. Access Statement

Location:
The campsite is situated at the south end of the friendly village of Lochranza on the beautiful Isle of Arran's wild north-west coast. The campsite is close to the Arran Distillery and Lochranza Golf Course and ten minutes walk from the loch and the castle.
Lochranza is a great base for enjoying local food and drink, walking, watersports, photography, geology, art, heritage and relaxation.

We are a quiet site in a natural environment.
Lochranza Campsite is situated is one of Scotland's National Scenic Areas and is a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation.
Please arrive after 2 pm (and before 8 pm) and leave by 12 noon on the day of departure.
